Billie joined us at five months of age and settled in from the very first day. She instantly found her place in the family — especially with Ocean, who happily took on the role as her big brother.

Billie has a big presence at home, and strong opinions about most things. She is my little shadow — wherever I go, she follows — and her favourite place in the world is my lap. At night she sleeps tucked close beside me, completely content.

She is a happy and playful girl with a big personality. Ocean is her greatest love — after me, of course — and she greets him with pure excitement every single time he comes home, always inviting him to play.

Billie knows exactly what she wants. She can be wonderfully stubborn — especially when it comes to fixing her top knot — and she is extremely food motivated, often sitting by the kitchen to politely remind us that she could possibly eat again.

When she relaxes, she relaxes fully — usually looking as if she has simply fainted in total peace.
